If you haven’t seen on either my youtube or instagram, I have changed up my hair (like a lot). After graduating high school I decided that it was time for a change to signify this new chapter in my life. I have been wanting to change up my hair for so long now and I thought now was the perfect time to do it.
Hair Plan/Dream/Goal: cut it short + dye it blonde
And that Plan/Dream/Goal finally happened one November evening. After following and obsessing over Hair by Leea’s Instagram account (facebook, instagram) , I decided to book an appointment with her. From seeing her amazing work i felt super comfortable and confident that I was in safe hands.
Going into the appointment I had lots of references pictures (since I have been planning this change for weeks) to show Leea what I wanted. We talked a bit and decided to start!
After 3 hours, it was done! When she started drying my hair I honestly got very worried because it looked quite grey. I was low key freaking out because I wanted to go for a warm caramel-like blonde but looking at my hair it was very ashy and almost grey looking. Though once she finished drying and styling my hair it looked blonde – a beautiful ashy blonde.I was surprised because I didn’t think I would suit an ashy blonde as all of my previous hair colours were very warm toned. Nevertheless I love it so much! It was also much lighter than I thought it would be – it took a few days to get used to seeing blonde hair in the mirror.
I love love love my hair and I am so thankful for Leea. She did an amazing job and I fully recommend her if any of you want to get your hair done.
My Favourite Products Right Now
1- I have been using the Evo Fabuloso Platinum Blonde Colour Intesifying Conditioner (as recommended by Leea) on a weekly basis to maintain and tone my hair. I leave it in my hair for 4 mins then wash it out. It leaves my hair so smooth and nourished and also does an amazing jobs to remove unwanted yellow tones in order to maintain the beautiful ashy tone.
2- Since I went from dark dark hair to blonde, my hair got quite dry after the process. To help with the dryness I have been using my all-time favourite Elvive Leave-in Conditioner. It leaves my hair smooth and silky.
3- I have also been loving the Toni & Guy Classic Smoothing Lotion to help tame frizz and keep my hair smooth and sleek.
I hope you enjoyed this post! If you reading this want to also undergo a major hair makeover, just do it! It feels amazing and very fulfilling!
Hope you are having a wonderful day!
