I have been loving delicate jewellery lately. Delicate jewellery is perfect for everyday use and it adds a feminine and elegant touch to your outfit. Since jewellery (in general) is pretty pricey, I decided it was a good idea to make my own jewellery with some jewellery wire. This DIY is inspired by the wire word bracelets. These are perfect for presents because you can personalise them and it is inexpensive.
Oh, I also apologise for being absent for a while. I went on a cruise and also just started back at school.
Let’s Get Started…
In this DIY you will need:
(note: it would be better to use jewellery pliers and wire cutters but I only had these big ones)
1. Cut your wire to a length where it is long enough to wrap around your wrist but with plenty of excess. The longer the word the more wire you will need.
2. Write the word you wish to create on some scrap paper. It is a good idea to write it in cursive so you get a better idea on how the letters connect and where to bend the wire. I chose love because it was easy to do. Start bending your wire to form each letter.
4. Cut off excess wire.
5. Using pliers or your hands, shape the bracelet so that is is a smooth round shape.
These wire word bracelets are so easy and fun to do. They make great personalised presents and also everyday jewellery. You can also create other accessories with jewellery wire such as rings. Using jewellery wire is a great and inexpensive way to create your own jewellery.
I hope you enjoyed that quick and cute DIY.
